The photos suck due to poor shop lighting and they were taken before I added the helmet bars. I have a few minor issues still to deal with but I think we are actually ready! I'll post photos and results the 1st of the week. Thanks for the support guys, DRAGFEST here we come.

    -I totalled up the purchases for the HA/GR and this is what I came with;
    (2) 10" hose clamps for borrowed Fuel Tank.................$2.50
    (6) 1 1/4 EMT tubing elbows for zoomies.....................$30.00
Axle Perch Nuts and King Pin shims...............................$14.00
    LED Light and chrome bracket......................................$10.00
    Front wheel seals........................................................$40.00
    Trans rear seal............................................................$13.00
    Points & Condensor.....................................................$35.00
    Carburetor Kit..............................................................$20.00
    Trans pan gasket and filter.............................................$6.00
Drag Link Rod Ends and jam nuts.......(1/2").................$22.00
    Fuel Filter and carb Gasket............................................$8.00
    Oil Filter........................................................................$6.00
    Engine gasket set.........................................................$33.00
    Carb Scoop..................................................................$27.00
    4qts trans fluid.............................................................$11.00
-24 fitting for fuel cap and misc hose............................$13.00
Engine for head and spare parts..................................$100.00
Materials to build Chassis(I had some materials on hand) .......$150.00
    Rear Tires...................................................................$250.00
    Welding wire and gas..................................................$100.00
    Steering Wheel.............................................................$25.00
    Front center caps........................................................$15.00
Total _______(I added it in my head)____________$925.00
-I know there are a Number of Items missing but you'll find friends (I have some great friends) to help ya out. A recap of the missing items; I had the engine, trans, and sheet of aluminum, 20' DOM Tubing (actually leeberz's aluminum), U-joint, Motor Oil, wiring, switches, 'friend' supplied Ford 8" and mastercylinder, 'friend' supplied seat belts, front end, front & rear wheels, The battery and Master Disconnect switch supplied by Joe's Battery Service and Leisle Electric, 'friend' loaned fuel tank, 'friend' had a large selection of materals to choose from, 'friend' supplied the used HD front tires, and we built it.
-Don't forget to cosider the cost of your safety equip. (suit, gloves, helmet, etc.), luckily our shoe had all that and I built the car with a sealed floorboard to keep the suit cost down. I know this statement is over used but the time spent with family and friends, making new friends, and the interest in the car is PRICELESS!
-The engine is a stock 200 Ford and it ran only a 15.23 @ 88 mph best but the crowd loved it. I'm working on a pair of Strombergs (leebrz has a GRIP of em for dad to choose from, "I love my son"), had some wire wheels fall into my lap (thanks Thingy') and bought new tires for the front.
-The next event for TeAM TWIRL'N is a car show here in Fresno June 14th, entered to thank a couple of our sponsors, Truck it by Cerutti & Sons and eat Great Mexican Food @ Guadalajara Mexican Restuarant. After that we'll take it to the ANRA June race @ Bakersfield. Come by and say hi, Rocky

OK GUYS.. Here is what I was told just a couple of hours ago..For us Ca. guys to run our HAMB cars. We will be required to have a full driving suit,Full face Helmets, Jacket,Pants, shoes and arm restraints -5 or better..This is a standard requirement. So we can't really piss and moan about it too much..

Well my new deadline is June 14th for a car show, so I painted the front wheels and suspension, kinda looks like an old tractor color scheme:D but I like it. I tore the car down to add to the cage and paint, after tearin' the car apart and talking to Thingy' I think I'm gonna try to get the manual trans in before the ANRA Race July 21st. I need deadlines to get anything done....................Rocky

I need a 3 speed ford manual transmission, long tailshaft complete with clutch, flywheel, and bellhousing for a Ford 200 6, I believe mid 60's to late 70's. Anybody out here on the west coast have one. Thanx in advance, Rocky

Well I painted the frame, engine and firewall to spiff her up for a car show the 14th. I also started fitting 2 more bars to make the cage a 5pt and hopefully make NHRA happy. I also scored a 3 speed setup to make the car legal and help me keep pace with Old6':D, we'll see later in the year. I dunno but it seems like an awful lot of red:eek:, I hope it all comes together after the body is intalled...............Rocky

Toymaker, you have that thing looking good!!
I think it will all come together and the red will not be noticed.
I would love for all of you west coasters to make it to Mokan this year.
