Took a few weeks, but I finally managed to load up the 56 Buick I bought and drag it home. Was a bit of a fiasco because the car was located behind a shed with two flat tires in the dirt. And the steering rag joint is COMPLETELY gone, making turning the wheels really hard. And it was really hot outside. And the trailer the seller was letting me borrow MIGHT have passed as a useable trailer 20 years ago. Well, after rigging up a contraption with bolts and some rope to replace the rag joint, we got the car on the trailer and to my house. I am hoping to turn it into a driver for now; as my life stabilizes a bit with my living situation and career I'll take the restomod a bit further. By the way, anyone know where to get a steering rag joint for this car? The one from Autozone is way too small.
Congrats. Sweet find. Ive always been a fan of the 56 Buick. Sounds like the the adventure has started typical as usual. Keep us posted on the build.
