Hot Rods Draggin Coupes, let's see 'em

Here's a pic of Red Stanley's 32 cpe racing a 40 back in the day. I'm the current happy custodian of the old warrior.

Second pic is the coupe at Eaglefield in 2012 with Mike Thompson at the wheel when it was his.

Does anyone have any info on this car? The engine setback, fenders, and the Blairs sponsor leads me to believe it was a drag car, but I am not certain.
