Listed in Hidden Los Angeles site on Facebook-a very cool site for all things Los Angeles:

Dragnet-The Big Rod shown on television December 30, 1954.

This is the show that was featured on the cover of Hot Rod the January 1955 issue.

Jack Webb is shown with the owner of the 32 roadster, Tom Pollard, whose car wasn't used in the program-two black roadsters were filmed. The cover notes claim that the red roadster was used for the cover because of it's "vivid" color and would be a feature car soon.

Thanks, there was another TV detective show in the 1960's that featured a T Touring car, and street racing, may have been the Norm Grabowski T that was later the "Porter" in My Mother the Car.

Those were two different cars altogether . The first was Norm`s T roadster which was Kookie`s car on 77 Sunset Strip . The other was a much later T touring used in My Mother The Car.
