Just came across this thread, count me in. This is my car that I bought when I got out of the Army in 1971, put it togrther in '73 and ran the A/ER class till NHRA said they had no more interest in us, so I went brackert racing for a few more years. Then after having to spot a 22 sec. Vega against my 9.90 car I just said I had enough. This is the way it looked when I parked it in the barn out back, then went hot rodding, about 5 years ago some friends said get it out and show it, so every now and then we take it to a few shows.

i have never posted these before...very few people know that i even owned an FED at one point. this is my old Chassis Research car; photos are from just after i bought it around the fall of 1990 or so, at the Beloit Autorama swap. purchase price...$350.00. those were the days......... i knocked it down for storage shortly after these pictures were taken and then finally sold it in 1996, but kept the ET III's; which i subsequently traded to Dave Mann from Roadsters.com around 2002

the car seemed well crafted, but was well abused by the time i had it. it featured a Ross steering gear and a chromed 37 v8-60 front axle and hairpins. it had apparently been raced into the later '60's/early '70's with the ET III's, newer bodywork, and psychedelic-ish paint/stripework

when i owned it i had no real bio on the car...and it's not like today where we have a lot more resources to find that sort of thing. any leads or information on this car before i had my hands on it would be appreciated

Here are some shots of my new NT/F digger. We managed to get it to the March Meet and Dan Horan Jr made a shot in it in the second qualifying session. I will be doing my license runs in the next few weeks and may race the car at Boise in April. The last two shots show the benefits of owning a T/F dragster.

Check out Kieth Tardel's (Keith on the HAMB) Digger! Keith plans on having a space at Eagle Field's Fresno Dragways Reunion in "Vendors Row" with one of his Dragsters on display. He is SELLING these cars and they would be PERFECT for our Eagle Field C/GD Class. Rocky

Hi Ricky, good to see you post a pic of your digger here.

Kiwi Kev, that photo was taken at the HAMB Drags last year. You need to make a trip back east. KING
