The Denver Flatheaders (now the Vintage Drag Racing Association) have been using single hoop, three point cages for years on their slower bracket cars. The tracks where they race rarely give them any trouble and when they do, they point out that they race under ET bracket rules, not Competition Eliminator rules. I don't know if that will fly again this year, but it has up until now. Apparently it won't fly on the West Coast according to the people wanting to run HA/GR cars out there. Here is the Flatheaders web page:

You can see plenty of pictures from some of their races on my web site. Just look around on it.

You could almost certainly run it at MoKan at the H.A.M.B. Drags. That would definitely be worth the tow.

All of this assumes that you don't have a car that is actually unsafe.

This was a local car for sale on E bay. Auction ended early. I did everything in my power to get it. but something else was going on behind the scenes. It was a Sorrell body, unknow chassis.

Hey King......you wouldn't happen to have more pics of this one from the Ebay auction would ya??? This one is really cool....not too long, killer body...

Were most of the early diggers chromoly, or was mild steel used as well?

I was so happy when I found a copy of this book. The how to build a fueler section is awesome, I'm using it to collect parts for a full build up for myself
