I thought that looked like a Tony Nancy logo on the seat. To cool!

That has to be one of the most beautiful dragsters I've ever seen. Those body panels, are pure art. Thanks for posting all the pictures.

The frame is repaired and a fresh coat of paint is on the car. the body panels have all been repaired and we are getting the car put back together Dave plans on heading out next week to the roadster show with this thing so the clock is running down.

They got the Dragster all put together today i will post some pics in the morning. made a swing set to help support the car during transport a lot of time was spent getting the frame repaired and the last thing we need is the frame getting tweaked during the haul. plan is to load up tomorow.

Far left is Joe Anahory and far right is Spyder Razon. I will ask Dad to see if he can fill in the others.

This is a great thread. I love FED's, and yours is very cool. Your doing an awesome job preserving it. I see that there are all sorts of interesting rides in the shop as well. I can't wait to see the final results on the dragster, keep up the good work.

One of my favorite Dragsters. Here the same picture someone else posted but this was from Beeline Dragway's Program from the 1964 AHRA Winternationals. I saw this car at Beeline that year and loved the name and it ran great! Left to right: Joe Anahory, Rocky Gambino, Dale Grantham, Driver Red Lang, Chauvin Emmons (p***ed away in Aug 09), and Murry Razon. So glad it's still around and being rebuilt! John

The dragster is all back together now and should get loaded up today to make its way to the roadster show. THe frame is restroed and the sheet metal has been repaired. and the car is safe to travle now. as of right now the car will stay just like it is for the imidiate future, we just wanted to take the oprutuinity to get the car in the shop and repair a few cracks and other details on the car while we had the chance.

The dragster and a belly tank made a full trailer they don't look that big out on the shop floor.

    Looks so nice.

Man, what I would give to do a big ol' hairy burnout in that rail.

There are some great shots of this car in Larry Robinson's video of the '64 Smoker's meet, you can tell it right away by the yellow paint and the '50 Chrysler limo push car...these guys were a cl*** act and got a lot of respect on the west coast.

Dumb question from someone that doesn't know anything about ch***is design - that frame looks like it would suffer from m***ive twist / flex given the lack of cross bracing and the power the mill is putting out. Are the engines solidly mounted to the frame or are the allowed to "float" so as not to put stress on the ch***is?

I apologize for the ignorance - I am not a ch***is guy by any stretch.
