    Dude! Nice 318 Poly!

The chrome valve covers and dual-quad did not go unnoticed! :D

Hey, if any of you guys need help sourcing 318 poly parts, let me know. I don't sell 'em, but I sure know where to get 'em! Nah, not "normal" stuff (stock, replacement parts) - you can get that stuff at NAPA. I mean dual-quad and 3x2 intakes, headers, etc... weird stuff that normal folks would have to shop around for. Being "into it", I usually keep an ear out.

    :)

    Hit me up, sometime.

    Lessee,

A front windshield for a 59 Sububurban (wagon)
right side trim for 59 Suburban Custom
    Steering wheel
four barrel intake for 318 Poly. If they have the stock air cleaner that would be cool too.

Those are the main things right now. I'm sure my list will grow.

  4. Get it all together and send me a PM, CrazyD and I will run over there on a Saturday and look. Been a while for us and I need a couple things as well.

I know where there's a couple of guys with dual-quads... one near Osawatomie/Ottawa!

Many times folks want to sell you the whole motor, not just the intake. I see 4-bbl stuff on ebay a lot.

A great way to find one is to put the word out to the rest of the 318 Poly folks directly. There's a link to our 318 Poly Yahoo Group at the top of the Polyspherical Engine Association webpage: http://www.geocities.com/polyman64

As of 9/7, Gary Pavlovich from the Poly Yahoo Group had a Weiand 7503 Stealth (the last 318 Poly intake made new, until they pulled the plug on it after the Holley merger a few years ago) for sale. Shoot him an email here: glpavlovich@cox.net

'Ol Gary also has lots of other trick 318 Poly parts (like blueprinted rockers), and is even a dealer for the Fountain brothers, so you can get the newer finned, aluminum valve covers, too.

Meanwhile, check out this link for the conversion you're wanting to do:
    http://www.mascotgraphics.com/4_barrel.htm

It's kind of a how-to, an has pretty pictures and a list of materials (fittings, etc). Also, since you have a pre-'62 318 Poly, you're stuck with a bellhousing pattern like the 392 has. They changed it in '62 to be like the back of a traditional LA 318. FYI.

    Anytime, man. :)

Your hemi could sure use a sibling in the stable... welcome to the fold! :D

You have a good many shows ahead of you enjoying folks scratching their heads and not being able to figure out WTF kind of motor that is... even though it was one of the MoPar bread & butter V8s for like 10 years!

Tonight I got the brakes bled on the Plymouth. I could drive her if I took her off of the trailer but I'm going to leave her loaded and do a few other things. I've got a hitch receiver to modify and put on. It's at a nice height to work on.

Sweet ride, Kerry, That will look absolutely killer in front of your dragster. And remember, sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness, than permission.
    Later Bro...........

This afternoon I made a trip to see a Mopar guy. He has a 58 with a windshield but it's starting to delaminate and has scratches. $100 and I take it out. :-/ He also has a 4bbl intake somewhere but has to dig it out.

He did have some suggestions about getting her legal.

Yesterday I did some more work on the engine and replace the 2bbl with and adapter and an AFB. I also did some better cleaning in the tank.

Travis and I just got back from a 10 mile test drive. Very smooth! I do need to look for worn steering parts as it is a bit loose. Brakes definitely need more work! All in all a cool experience. Cruising through the darkness with the windows down, nice and quite, smooth right, with the cool green glow of the dash lights. :) Travis is convinced this is a MUCH better car than Mom's Saturn.
