haha- but I have a pile of timeslips from my five liter... just ask the toppers I think I made 30 PLUS passes with it at one of there shows-

    Fuel Injection/Nitrous/GEARS

If they do this ill buy another 5.0
    just like VANILLA
    the FUNKY RYME KILLA

    haha

Seen you called CAStro- Been outside trying to figure out if I need a headgasket in my pickemup-

it spills antifreeze for the first couple min when I fire it up when its cold
    when its warm it stops.
    and doesnt leak a drop...

    head gasket right?
would a freeze plug do this?

cant see where its comin from

haha...I' used to you not answering.
I've seen freeze plugs do that....a little heat...a little expansion seems to stop the leak.
Is the oil clear? No white smoke outta the pipes? Iffnot I doubt a head gasket.

When is this strip supposed to open? You gotta make plans for Brainerd a year ahead of time to go there!

holy shit, a strip OPENING?? i don't care if it's on the moon, the universe will get a little better with just one opening. shame municipalities can't get in on the action and do something constructive to provide an alternative to street racing.

  10. I'll second that motion!!...........Drag Strip's = world peace! :)

  11. You're going to complain and file suit over the noise level in your "development"-RIGHT??????Ha!
Hell -TUCK-they will probaly have to sue you for late nite grinder noises/& PRIMAL SCREAMING drowning out the track PA system.......

    Tuck --

Heard about that the other day myself. Just up the road from North Branch -- we're gonna have grudge matches after work!

And if we get kicked out of that track for unsportsmanly conduct, it sounds like Minnesota Dragways may be making a comeback south of the Twin Cities. A couple of guys from Mankato have been pushing that hard for a couple of years.

Two dragstrips! It's good to be Kanadian . . .

Oh great a dragstrip next to Tuck's house.I wonder if this is trouble for the workers build this track.I can see it now tuck out there in a parka sitting in a lawn chair watching them build it.And asking the workers every ten minutes. Now what are doing, why, can i take my car out there yet.Half hour later how bout now,I wonder if Tuck will take the hex out to the site and help them burn the bush pile by using the hex to get the fire started.

  14. Hahahahhaa, very cool for you guys! Just so you know, it is not a fluke. The South Dakota Supreme Court ruled against a developer and is allowing a new strip to be built in Pierre South Dakota. 1/4 mile NHRA. Looks like there is some progressive thinkers in Minn/Dak

I diddn't know they had Drag strips in Canada.........

  20. yep, its true, part of the old MN DragWays crew I think N they are using that name or were, BUT the down side is that BIR is history ,Its currently for sale after losing the NHRA nationals contract, Theres a BIG sign by the entrance that says so , the north people are pissed, the Kernel(sic) fucked up once too often ,the family/partners took over, but it was too late, I'm glad we got another track, but won't take my car there because of the distance and traffic, I'll go to Litchfeild, not to say I won't go as a spectator i will.

  21. WAIT!!! i just read your link, If I read that right there is going to be another NORTHERN track!, that would make 2 NEW tracks , cause the other is supposed to be down by the city's, NOW THAT WOULD BE GOOD NEWS!

  22. is BIR really gone from NHRA? i hadn't heard that...will brainerd miss it? not really..or the would have put up a fight to keep it...there was always a love/hate thing with the track...they loved the money in the community on race weekends...the hated the noise and the people...when "donnybrooke" was opened in 1968 it was truely out in the sticks, no one was around to complain....now it has urban sprawl all around it....i gave up in 1983 when i was kicked out for being over 93 decibles....went back in 1996...same shit....if the track means so little to the city, to hell with them

now there is talk of possible several new tracks in minnesota....i wish them luck....sure , car guys want them...the locals don't

    Amen...

these assholes are the same ones who eat up the cheap land next to the airport or the freeway, then piss and moan three years later about the fukin noise...

go home, buncha crybabies.. it aint like they dint know it was there

  25. From what i hear it was because of BIR being one of the last to allow beer and unrestricted spectators,it did get WILD up there during the nats, including a couple teenage girls doing a striptease out in the park some years ago, mismanagement on the part of the owners ,so NHRA pulled its sanction , not so much a noise issue , the decision was made in cooperation w the owners,as the land value has climbed up to where it is worth more as commercial developement property, It IS still for sale to anyone , but I'm sure it will go to a developer.

  26. You better get to the yards quick...know what I mean....

We've been trying to get ours going for years.
Big thing has been the money for construction.
Stock hasn't sold as well as hoped.
It'll get done, but it should have been open before now.
