I got pretty excited when I saw this and wanted to share it with you. I have a build planned with a 1951 Diamond T cab and a 55 Chevy bed. I'll be leaving those rusty and putting the truck on red steelies. Not trying to build a r*t r*d, just like em a little aged. Anyway, here's the drawing The man who drew this is named Ryan Paul, and he posts on Jalopnik's Opposite Lock forum.
A guy on another forum. I don't know his real name. I should ask him and give him credit. I'll be back soon to update the post. And I'm glad you like the concept
Nice art Coty. Do you have the truck already ? Lets see some pictures of what you are working on. All the best, Dale Cleveland OH
Thanks Dale. I don't have the parts yet. I expect to buy the cab this week. (Firetruck door lettering, hell yeah)
Very cool drawing. Those years Diamond T's used International Cabs, so if you need parts for that cab look for a 1950-1952 L series or 1953-1955 R series International, should be easier to find then another Diamond T.
Thank you! I knew they were international but I didn't know what it corresponded to. I know I need a back window for sure. Not sure what else yet.
Sweet truck Coty. Don't freak about the bent grille bars, you'll either find replacements or be able to make some new ones. Keep us posted with your progress. All the best, Dale Cleveland OH
Oh you know I will! I'm not too concerned about any of the damage, as long as it isn't cancer. The rest will supply ample at***ude until I can fix em. In the mean time, it's no big deal. I'm pretty laid back with that kinda stuff.
I read your post, before looking at the artwork, and wasn't enthused. Then, I scrolled down and looked at the art, and I'm impressed. It works. I'm not sold on the patina thing, it's overdone, but hey, I was wrong on the concept! Brian It doesn't hurt that I have a Diamond T also...
I've always loved patina, and the good thing here is that no one around me does it, so I wouldn't be over done. I'm glad you like the concept though, it's pretty simple, design wise, but it works for sure.
