'56 Ford Crown Vic, painted Hondarus Maroon, 'Cruiser skirts, nosed and decked, tube grille, baby moons with skinny whites, black button tufted interior, powered by a 312 with a Hurst shifter on the 3 speed. I could have bought this exact car in early '67, but nobody would loan me the BIG 300 buck buy in....:(

  10. This Cole Foster 1955 Pontiac Starchief creation. I came within hours of buying this car and at the last minute decided not to. Kick myself everytime. I know it is still around San Diego/Escondito area...maybe one day

  11. As long as we're fantasizing, why stick with one car? Here's my dream baker's dozen:

    1. 30s era T-speedster: lowered T roadster on Buffalo wires & Riley OHV converted banger
    2. Late 40s lakes rod: Flatty powered 32 Hiboy roadster w/ Duval windshield
    3. Mid 50s Russeta TA coupe: fenderless '34 3 window with mailslot chop and early Hemi
    4. Early 60s show rod: Flaked-out, chromed-out Fendered 30/31 Coupe w/ early Cad motor
    5. Westergard taildragger -- '36 roadster with carson top & LaSalle grille
    6. Trad Sled -- flatty powered 51 Merc Coupe
    7. Clock Cruiser -- slammed, flaked 61 Cad with white pleat & roll & buick wires
    8. Gas Warrior -- nose-up 41 Willys coupe w/ blown 371 Olds and B&M hydrostick
    9. Saturday Nite Strip Doorslammer -- Caged 68 Camaro w/ 500+ cube BBC
    10. 70s Mullet monster -- jacked up 440 Cuda with Cragar SSs on M/T 50s
    11. Road course winder -- GS-style gutted 65 Vette with Weber-ed out SBC
    12. Grocery getter/kid hauler: Flaked 57 Nomad with seaweed flames and Astro Supremes
    13. Daily driver -- full-pimp Escalade

    650 horse awd ruf turbo

    But I'd also like to do a mild custom 55 Buick special with a dual quad 425 and a 4 speed, a bootlegger-style 39 Ford with a 50's caddy motor and a LaSalle gearbox, a 54 Chevy w/a 283 4 spd, either a 56 F100 w/ a 364 nailhead and an sp400 or a 55-57 Chevy p/u w/a 283 or 327 & a th350, a 69 superbee clone with one of those new crate hemis & a pistol grip 4spd, a gasser style 55 or 56 Ford with a 413 max wedge (not sure which tranny I'd go with here), a 66 or 68 427 4speed Impala SS, a mild custom bullet nose t-bird (drivetrain doesn't matter here), a 63 sebring silver vette convertable, a 59 or 60 Caddy with bags, etc. etc. etc.

Of course I also have the obligatory dream of stumbling on the barn kept 32 ford roadster that was hot-rodded in the 50's and stuffed in a barn in the 60's (preferably with a caddy motor w/a lasalle tranny, or a hemi).

    I also would like a zagato bodied Aston Martin, a jag e-type, a 62 Ferrari 250 GTO, a 275gtb, a 57 california, a daytona coupe, a Cobra,

ahh fuck it. I could be here all night.
