33-34 roadster is my dream car. I own a 34 roadster just not even close to being finished. But this is close to what I want it to look like. The truck is mine and I wouldn't want another. To me it's perfect.
Dream car,@ cost don't matter, hummm it mattered cuz I could not drive just a dream any were..!, I build a lot of model car kits, but can't say one was way better then the others,so as I was getting real near ready to actully be a driver, I was open to blowing the max of my saving on something I thought I could fix in to dreamy cool car; So back in early 50s I was looking hard an found a few real cars to try an buy. I though the coolist dream car 1st to me was a used 53 Studebaker hardtop V8 , low an slick coupe, almost got it too,but Dad would not sign for it,cuz it was being worked on by the guy selling it when we got there. I then found a used 36 Cord with some elec. shift probs ,I knew I could fix,but he would not sign on that one ether. Next was a Ford "A" hotrod coupe with flathead V8 open wheel no hood or upholstery at all, running but not finished< knew I could finish it cool, but Dad didn't at all like that one ether. At that time I found n dragged home a wrecked in the rear/ Model A roadster /no motor, hood or seats an lots of rust ect. I got for free and started working on in backyard. Dad did not see this as anything but junk an I kept adding more junk to it,I got a Thunderbird V8 for it ect. an the pile kept getting bigger{I had a dream for it]. So Dad tells me to keep looking for something that could actully be driven . Looked at a number of cars that didn't do anything for me,but Dad liked. Ended up getting a Crosely Hot Shot that was a bit of a mess, but Dad desided he liked it so much that he would make a SCCA H-mod racecar out of it for"us"?,so again we were looking an I did end up with a Henry J with blowen ******,not really my idea of dreamy at all,but I worked on it an my "A" outback a lot ,tell J was not a J,but I had fully customized it,made it in to Car Craft mag in jan 1963 too an my "A" turned out pretty good as well. Never been real sure witch one was more dreamy to me buy the time I had both running an going to shows in the early 60s. Now days I still have my "A",the "J" was stolden 64,I built a lot of rods an racecars over the years, but still love my first hotrod roadster the best.
