Of all things! I don't know what caused it last night, hell, I haven't looked at that thread for probably a month or more, yet images of a few cars I've known were swimming through my mind.

First a 1965 El Camino I knew from about 1988-1992, had a 'built' 327 ( for a high schooler) 4 speed and radiused rear fenders to clear 15x10 slot mags with what I swear had to be 31x10.50 tires:eek: in the rear and normal p***enger tires in the front. Was a buddy of mine, we never ran against each other for some reason. Car was ugly as sin, had been cut prior to his ownership, probably looong before. Was WAY out of style in the Pro-Street era.

Another guy I still know had a 64 Chevelle, again, fenders radiused long before he bought it, that had an Olds 455 in it, ran it at the local drags and drove it daily. I think he was running low 12's, maybe high 11s when the frame broke. Been parked ever since. I came to know this car around 1995, it's been sitting at least 10 years now.

I saw a cheap 64-65 El Camino on Cracklist the other day...Maybe it's calling me? I already have a fairly clean 64 that runs low 12's in street trim. Full race car out of the CL car?
