Ok so I've got enough tools moved over here to work on this baby so I've spent most of today gettin back into a rhythm. Nothin really to see yet but I did set the intake up there. I like it alot.

I also hung this cool Firestone sign this old dude gave me. He saw I was into old cars and was all "Come to my house tonight, I have this old sign for you." He lived like 80 miles away but when I got there he had it ready to go and I was blown away!

He gave me the big letters! It was pretty cool. The one on the side I got at a garage sale for 50$.

With the carbs on top the engine looks nicer (the engine looked good before as well). How much was that sign if that small one was $50?

Man...I got excited with the sign in the first pic. Then you bring out the big guns. How big was the truck you took to pick it up?

well maybe you took the whole car and your slowly parting it out and putting everything
on your car...eventually you will paint your car LIVE WIRE blue and have Black and White
interior.... then you will claim that its LIVE WIRE 2 and its a CLone.... all the while i can't
seem to fine the thief that stole my car. hahahahahaha

That would clearly be bad luck, having any part off of the Live Wire on your car, Paul.
You want to do burnouts right???
    Looking good, man.

If you make it a clone of live wire (No offense Evel) it would not look like your own car, it would look like another live wire, nothing new to look at . The whole idea of building your own is to look diffirent than what others have already built.

??? Are you under the impression that I'm building a clone of Piero's Rat rod?

I like the tag on this thread is Gay For Caddy's and Piero has a rat rod!!!! Haha!!!

But seriously, I think you pretty clear that you were painting the car a colonial white so that throws the Live Wire clone out the window. In fact I think the engine and stance are the only thing that close sooooooo I'd say they are pretty fucking different.

Colonial White Coupe (or roadster haha!!)
    Black WHeels with WW tires
    Cad V8

SOunds like a boss hoss to me.

DB, what is your secondary color going to be?? Like engine and accents???

Black. I know it sounds monotone but I want simple. I'm leanng towards painting the frame the same color as the body though. I don't know how to explain it but I think the car will sit better as a whole if the frame carrys the color to the grill shell...

The inside of the carb scoops will be sage green though, the only color on the whole car...

I agree with this theory and plan on going this direction. I don't think it always applies in every application, but in quite a few.

A bunch of people commented on my Roadster because the frame was painted the same color as the body. They said it needed to be black but I think that if the front end was to be chromes the frame being the same color would actually enhance the package.

What about chrome??? Lots of it, or more of a strictly business type car??

    Chrome:

Valve Covers and some engine accessories
    Wishbones
    Pitman
    Spring perches
    shock mounts-upper and lower
    maybe shocks?

    Just the right touches.
