    I'm 6'4"

I wanted to chop my coupe 4", my buddy said that was to much and to go with 3". Ended up going with 3 9/16th " haha. Just enough room for my sasquatch-like stature.

Fuck, 6" is a lot. I think the Green Grenade was chopped 5" or 6" and people said that car was a death trap as far as a seeing out of. None the less each car is different and what you've got going so far is pretty rat......I mean rad. Hahaha, just kidding. Looks cool.

This is my buddy Lea's (Jalopy Kid) coupe. It's whacked 6" and I damn near need a shoe horn to wedge myself into it.

Keep up the progress, I enjoy this build thread.

28/29 coupes are an inch taller to start with, so his chop is like a 7" on a 30/31 coupe.

Had no idea about the extra inch. Jalopy Kid's is a real cool car, and with that being said and seen, I think Dreddy might be on to something. Keep going DB!!!

Haha. I figure I'm not building a taxi so screw it. The seat will be right on the floor so it wont be so bad... at least thats the story I'm sticking to. Got a couple welds to clean up but I'm pretty stoked :D

What a LOVE FEST it is in here! :D I added a tag for you too!

I think with 6" gone it'll look pretty cool. The Green Grenade was an 8" chop with an anti-section (2" I believe). Loudpedal drove that thing all over so I'm guessing it just took some "getting used-to."

There are a ton of ways to play the chop game... I'm scared of hunch-backing it so, for me, we measured my coupe and chopped it to fit with me in my seat and it came out to 4". I've got a long torso and I'm 6'2" plus a little. However, I don't think there's anything wrong with "getting it" and chop chop chopping.

I like the header, as well... can't wait to see more progress.

that thing is going to be tuff.. Me likey....

Are you going to run a Visor? kinda looks cool with out... but if you do use a 30-31
visor.. IMO 28-9 visors are ugly

Yeah, I'm definitely not running a full 29 visor. I may run a 30/31 or a custom shallower 29 type...but it will flow with the car for sure. I'm gonna try and just let the roof tops flow into the visor...

Tied the A and B posts together. The cross piece on the B posts is just temporary. I got pissed at the 54 dash cause it wouldnt fit so I threw it at my Burt Reynolds poster. Luckily it broke into three even pieces, so it will be easy to weld back together somehow. Will it work? Tune in next week!

DreddyBear, How did you weld your Burt Reynolds poster back together then?He does look very NICE 'n' HAIRY though, which would make worth the effort of putting said poster back together!Oh!, the chop is looking even more better!

Dig it. I'm interested to see where you take the "header" panel and the visor. I love my '28 but I think those vidors are the most hideous thing ever. I was planning on using a 30-31 visor.

    Stayin' tuned :)
