I have to give props to Jonny Cola. He gave me the inspiration to make this oil plate filter relocator thingy. The stock filter housing was bulky and hitting the frame.

I love the car...but, I don't think that the oil is gonna love those 90* corners and small tubes...

I second that...I had a 351-C Ford that blew off oil filter plates for lunch until the hydraulic engineer neighbor came over and looked at two 90's coming out of the adaptor plate... sez those 90's multiply the pressure by 10... replaced 'em with street el's and never looked back.

I hear ya guys. I was concerned with running too small a 90deg. fitting there because my Dad (who works for a hydraulic flow systems company) told me to nix em and go with 3/8" I.D. tubing. I milled the inside after welding. Jonny Cola is has been running the same thing on his car for a while:)

Got the tranny/starter bolted up and the whole shebang put back in. Everything clears! Yay!

I want to thank my pal Norm Jones. Without him this car would not be where it is right now. He's a good buddy:)

I have to say that that piece of roof sure looks better here than it did at my place.

Well done on the build. When next I'm in Texas - I wanna drive in this car :D:D:D:D

Mr. DB, that thing is turning out awesome!. I love how tight the rear wheels are sucked up to the body. I also love how large the tire/wheel proportions look compared to the car (tall tire up front too?). Anyways, it looks dreamy.

Paul, it just keeps getting better looking with each progress shot. You just might make it for the big day. Good luck my friend.

    DB,
This is an awesome build! I've learned a lot from watching your progress. I really liked the trunk brace, as I have to build a curved brace and this was just what I needed.
It seems that Austin is the place to be. Keep up the good work!

that looks awesome, you don't even have to paint it and its awesome... question about the 4 carbs.. is that a modern intake manifold or a vintage one.....
