I bought the same style hinges on the trunk for my build. 50 ford, but not sure i'm happy with them cause the way the trunk lid sits higher than the filler panel. I used a wedge shaped shim under to make it work, but not sold yet. Car looks great!

D-bear I've been wondering, how do y'all keep those bare metal cars from rusting?

Apply liberally. When you're ready to move on to paint it will come off pretty easily. It's been months since I did the whole car.

The exhaust is a nice touch dude. Enjoy bodywork, its a soul crushing experience, but will be worth it. Nice videos too.

31whitey, I completely agree with you about dogs. I've never been screwed out of a "good" set of seat springs, or given a wrinkled Deuce shell even though I paid for a cherry one, by a dog. Smashed-faces rule !

Awesome car. The details really make it! Love the look of the antennas with the chrome hinges. The dash and vinyl rules!

  14. The rear treatment is kickarse!

If you decide on cycle fenders get a '36 Ford spare wheel cover and cut it down, have it chromed, paint body colour but leave centre bead chromed and pinstripe to separate chrome/paint.

I'm busting my ass, the garage looks like a bomb went off. It's ugly and scary and I'm making progress every day! I'll post some pics once I get somewhere cool looking :)

You're not touching this control 'til that car is done!

Almost done with the top frame. Then need to clean up the roof in general.

Had a late night wacky idea and needed a visual. I think this is happening. But will need to look much cleaner, this was just scraps...

did you weld up or tack up those seams before filling? hope so- I'd weld all of those seams solid before filling or they might crack- disregard this if you did... I'm going to weld up the front of my roadster and fill it- they look so good like that!

    Keep up the #rad!

Yessir.. fully welded all around pretty much everywhere. I agree they look great. There's that thing where sometimes it can look like a glass body, but my view is that if Barris was building this thing way back when, there is no way they wouldn't fill the seams. BTW I am amazed at how far bondo dust will travel! It covers EVERYTHING!
