I have a '48 Ford pickup that I got after the chop had been started. I'm putting it back together, and I'm not sure what to do with the drip rails.

They've been cut off, and there's a sharp edge where they used to be. What do people do after they've been removed?
    1/4" pencil rod?
    Grind smooth?
    ???

No drip rails makes me happy I live in SoCal.

    Thanks,
    Tackett

Did the same trick on my 63 F100. I welded up the seam and added a 1/4" cold rolled rod to the edge. It made for a 34 Ford style edging around the door opening. It also helps disquise the gap around the door better as well as flow into the charicter line at the back edge of the door opening.
