I have a 53 chevy 3100 pickup I've been working on (sanding and getting ready for paint a**** other things) and I just recently noticed both door drip rails are saging in a few spots and might create a water leak issue. Some of the gaps are very obvious when looking closely.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to seal or what to use to seal the drip rails? Weld them? Filler? Epoxy? They look like they were just spot welded from the factory and that's it. How were these attached and sealed from the factory?

Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

Go back over and tack and weld them up. Then probably use some sort of sealer to seal up all the little areas and seams. 3M makes a good sealer for the drip rails.
