I will drive an old car...just not sure whether it will be the Ford or the Chevelle. Just depends on how the week goes and what I find when I pull the Ford apart.

  2. Looks like the '47 as the Galaxie progress is slow! Just like a new language to me! :D

I think I'll drive the 1947 pickup. It will be back home. The Guthrie Drive in bought my 47 pickup new.

  4. Think they will reconize it now?

Cool! Anyone else coming from Kansas with you? By the way, I don't plan on bringing a grill either...don't want to carry it in the trunk.

Bring Dennis, Mike and Jimmy with you... They can take a night off of tattooing

  11. The way I have it figured there will be plenty in the way of grills and what not?

Bring cars! Preferably 1962 and older, that is all I ask. If you have one look for me and I will see to it that you have something to eat before the movies start.

Parking is on a first come basis, gates open at 5PM. Movies start at dusk.

  12. I'll be there in the '78, since my only pre-'63 isn't running.

  13. My understanding is the old cars are parking up front and folks in the drivers outback? I think seperating them is a great idea.

  14. I hope you guys do this again next year! I might actually have my project running by then!

    very cool idea!

Maybe hes checking the plugs instead of the jets now lol

2 lane blacktop is great movie haven't seen it in years!

Make it three yards, Mf'R, and we'll have us an automobile race.

  15. It all depends on what sort of turnout we have this year. Some of us were talking today and were thinking we could do something next year for a season opener that had More American Graffiti as the second show?

  16. I like More AG as well but what would be the second movie? Hollywood Khights or Hot Rod?? There are actually quite a few that would be good canidates for the big screen.

Looks promising that I can drive my "old" car after tearing into it. So, maybe I can park with the cool guys now. :D

The only draw back is the bbq at the place, not everyone can bring a grill. It would be awsom to have a big grill everyone could use an cook side by side, just an idea for us out of towners, and those who dont want a messy grill in the trunk or back seat of their old car. I will be there, trying to get more to come with me, buy It's a money day for dennis, jimmy and mike, so they won't be taking off. see you guys tomarrow, save the caddy a spot up front if I'm running late please.

Here is Martin's quote from above about the grills.

"The way I have it figured there will be plenty in the way of grills and what not?

Or, there are plenty of restaurants that you could swing through and just bring something to the drive in.

We look forward to having you all from Kansas.

Thats awesome!! how does a guys set one of these up in their hometown? Are they usually accepting because it's only at the end of the season? or could a guy convince them to do it in the middle of summer?
