I have a difficult time with getting the letters and numbers to bring up the actual video. The video is in todays LiveLeak under the ***le "Driver saved from burning hot rod". It appears to be a yellow 40 ford coupe that crashed and started to burn with the driver (dazed and with a head injury) inside. He was pulled from the car (which continued to burn) and 911 was called. Accident might have happened the first of this month. Driver was bleeding from head injuries and did not know the date of the month.
Driver's name is Scot, might be a Willys, 39?

Injured driver said his name is Scott. I believe he is wearing a red Americar t-shirt.

Sad to see. Quite a bunch of heros pulling him out and getting him away from the fire. Good on them. Gary

You would've done the same thing, if fact I don't know to many people. That wouldn't have done the same thing.

Whew...quite dramatic with the on-the-scene video. Those guys did great. The one guy was asking all the right questions about the guy's cognitive abilities, previous medical conditions, etc.

Now the driver will have do***ented footage to support his lawsuit against those guys for his back and neck injuries so he can repay his father for the willys.

There's the sad reason why many people WOULDN'T help someone in that situation! Instead of a thanks, they get sued.

The car's owner is Harry Karsten. Son Scott was driving. You can do a Google search on the name and find a lot of details on the car. The car is OT for the HAMB, but definitely a high end build.

Best wishes for a swift recovery for Scott!

Scary, scary stuff. A crash is bad enough, but fire terrifies me.

From another forum, a life long friend of the father reports the following, "Scott (52) isn't doing well. Severely crushed/broken face, blood on brain, damage to T1 and T2 of spine, other undisclosed and undiscovered issues highly probable."

What a shame ... to bad for the gent driving too.

The folks that pulled him from the car are heros in my book. If that happened to me I hope that someone like these people were around.
