I need a 29 inch driveshaft for my 32 3wc. I know I can have a new one made or I could shorten a longer shaft. My question is, does anyone have a list or spreadsheet for various cars and their driveshaft lengths. This would help out alot on my next Pick & Pull run.

pretty much anything will have a longer driveshaft. Look for one that does not have a tube that necks down near the ends.

Spend your time worrying about getting one with the same ujoint sizes at both ends that you need, correct splines, etc.

Unless someone has made one up I have never seen one.

You will have to take into consideration the type and size of u-joints used. I looked at the back driveshaft out of a 86 S-10 Blazer I junked out and outside to outside it is about 36 inches long. It is straight and one could be shortened easily though so that might be something to look for. I have one out of some sort of 60's/70's GM pickup that is about 34 inches but have no idea of what it came out of.

If you are gonna shorten one you might look at mid to late 90s crown vic's aluminum shaft if you have the clearance cause they are about 5" dia. but they are light and polish up real shiny. Or you might look at jeep cj's they don't get much shorter than a cj 5.

1974 Monte Carlo drive shaft. I believe it's a 3"o.d. all the way through. There perfect for tight tunnels. If you have 350 TH all you have to worry about is cutting it down and match to rearend.
I think they're strong enough to handle some abuse, unless you have some serious H.P. in that small block.
