  1. Glad to hear you're gonna do it. The trip may have its ups and downs but you'll never be able say, "I shoulda".
Be safe and enjoy the smiles

Looks like you hit the weather lottery! It is supposed to be in the 50's and 60's next week! Maybe some rain but much better than 2 weeks ago when a lot of NY state roads were closed because of a snow storm.

Eat nothing but icecream all the way!
Sounds like fun in that suburban.

Squirrel, I pulled a U-Haul trailer from SC to WA about 14 years ago in my '68 Galaxie 500, it never occurred to me to worry about it because I had confidence in the car. I sincerely doubt you would not be able to monitor your Suburban and get it to NY no problem. It's going to be more fun in the '57 than in the late-model, I guarantee you that.

Good news in Indiana weather wise - but beware - we've had blizzards in March here before - our weather changes every 10 minutes.

  8. Have a great journey. Cakewalk compared to Drag Week.

Have a great trip. Cross country with your hot rod is a blast, especially when you're the only car. I've done Fla. three times, Ca. twice and Prince Edward Island once that way You'll blow peoples mind when they find out where you're from. The general public just doesn't expect to see one of our cars driven like that

Snow all but melted as it hit the ground. Clear skies rather warm this time of year. This has really been a mild winter at best.
