    .........is such a BLAST!
I got a windsheild in my truck and it's licensed as of last Friday. Been driving the **** out of it since. Drove to work today despite the morning chill and fog. About a 45 min drive in HEAVY traffic.

The sound of the motor cackling in the crisp morning air at stoplights, the look on commuters faces as you go by, kids waiting for the bus to school waving and giving thumbs up......... fun, fun, fun!!!:D :D

Still a few 'little' things to work out on the truck, but for the most part, it drives straight, rides well enough, stops well and goes like HELL!

A quick pic from the parking lot.:)
Just WAITING for the drive home! hahahahaha!

I drive mine all the time too.
Its the best part of going to work, especially since its an hour one way.
Better get a top on that thing or an unbrella. :)
    looks good.

I drive mine on fridays usually. About a 35 minute drive, and a lot of thumbs up every time.

I drove mine to work today too. Just got it bolted together last night after a top end overhaul. Not traditional so I'll skip the photo but it's still mine and I love to drive it!:)

I find that if you don't like your job it REALLY ****s to drive a hot rod cause that's all you think about all day! I try and drive it 3-4 times a week, but I've driven it every day this week. It's great when you can make it for long stretches without mechanical failure! It's cold in the morning now, but come winter I'll only drive maybe 1-2 times a week. Cold, wind, rain, maybe snow (she does alright)

I go to get coffee about 10 times just to look out at the parking lot and see it :D

Yup, driving hot rods to work, the store, etc., it's just hilarious seeing the looks, though for the most part I find the people around here very unfriendly and/or too stupefied to wave, smile, etc., just glare.

    Congrats man!

It probably looks a bit goofy to see a channeled 32 coupe, no fenders, no mufflers, primered, with the flying skull and "HellRaiser" on the side, being driven by a guy going to work wearing a white shirt and tie, But what the hey!!

Not everyday, but when I feel like coming to work and raising Hell!!!!:D

Now I don't own a hot rod, but just driving my caddy to work as well as drop my son off at school is a hoot everyday. I get comments, thumbs up and looks everyday...one of the reasons I love driving it. Had a guy roll up beside me and offer a trade on his late model BMW 7series...we just laughed...

About the only time I drive mine to work is on Fridays because not very many work there on Friday. The rest of the week there's like 350 people, and the parking lots are crazy! When I do drive it I also have to go look at it every now and then. Usually theres someone out there checking it out!

yeah, its the best feeling to start the day off right! I used to see a few other guys on the freeway here in LA in the mornings sometimes. One of the guys from the choppers with a bad*** "A" 5 window and sometimes a flaked green 60's Olds?, and then another guy with a black chopped early 50's ford pickup. I think he worked at Frank Gehry's office, when it was in Santa Monica down the street from my job. My boss used to talk **** though because I would leave quarter sized oil spots in the driveway, and also because it was so loud..

My favorite is the guy that tries to cut you off in traffic under an overp***......one rap on the pipes scares em straight....and drowning out homes' music in stop n go is fun too....

oh yeah, and the streets in the part of pirvine i work in are all spaced 1/4 mile apart......wonder what happens at lunch...

  16. It's a blast to drive your car to work, I drive mine exclusively, I haven't missed a day in 8 month.
Although it's not a rod but a 52 Ford Paneltruck people sometimes think they have to p*** me and cut me off thinking I can't keep up with traffic, wrong.
Driving from Hollywood to Burbank, you see all kinds of rods, I love it.

I drive my 46 tudor on fridays. It is a blast. The commuters either shake their heads or give you the thumbs up. Lots of 'rides' given on Friday, of course it helps to be the plant manager. LOL.

reserved 'power parking' gets you lots of exposure.

  19. Mine's not a rod...more of a cruiser.
I've enjoyed driving it to work for years.

  20. Why don't you want your customers to see your car, it's very nice! I'd much rather do business with somebody with a cool ride than some foreign-economy supporting ***hole in a Lexus.

Last time I drove anything nice to work, it got clobbered in the lot. When you work at a college and have 18-22y.o. on phone driving, you don't drive anything you care about.

  26. It won't get stolen in the ghetto unless it has 36" wheels, 10 T.V.s, and a million watt stereo!

Just saw this. I'm about to make sure the boss sees me, then I'm sneaking out. The coupe was just calling me this morning, the weather was so nice. Had to move two trucks out of the way to get her out of the garage.
