   got some so cal drop steering arms drag link ball end seems to long .have to pack with washer to make it tighten enough.just wondering is there a different size ball type joint to fix problem

   You are using Ford tie rod ends with them? Or the same 7 degree taper as Ford.
   It could just be that your tie rod ends were designed for thicker steering arms if the taper is right.
