Hey everyone I’m still learning all this stuff so take it easy on me… I have a speedway 4 inch drop axle on my model a tudor and speedway round back spindles… can any one point me in the direction of steering arms I’ll need ? Please and thanks in advance
I used the Heidt bolt thru dropped arm on my Tudor. I personally like that bolt through design as opposed to the threaded one. Just my opinion. I think they’re actually sold through chassis engineering now. You need to make sure the linkage will pass under the wishbone. I had an issue with it.
There are dropped thru bolt steering arm available from Roadster Supply that will put the tie rod under the bones. The Boling Brothers bones are replicas of the 37-40 bones. Problem with Roadster Supply all the thru bolt arms are stainless and expensive. You might also try Pete&Jake's they did make a run of the Chassis Engineering/Heidt's deep drop thru bolt arms and they may have some left.
Pete & Jake's are out of the dropped arms and don't have plans in the near future for a production runs due to the additional cost of the CE rights.
Call Ray at Roadster Supply 714-583-4118 tell him your application and ask if he would advise AHR-60306 deep drop plain steel thru bolt steering arms. If you order make sure you also order the bolts.
Speedway had the bolt thru 4”drop steering arms for a decent price. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/1937-48-Ford-Steering-Arms-3-3-4-Inch-Drop,25541.html
