Hot Rods dropped axle identification

hi All i am new to this forum but have sourced it many times. i just bought a 1934 custom built truck (Bo Huff) and it has a chromed dropped axle . I have limited info on this axle but has the letter S stamped in the centre of it-will try to send a pic later
anybody have any ideas of the axles origin or Brand?..i think it was built in the 80s but not really sure
