Born in Middletown. Grew up in Higganum, and Haddam. Lived in Portland, Middletown, South Glastonbury, Bridgeport and Norwalk. You?
Ever met the promoter, Ian Targonsky? Tall skinny dude, working the gate, mostly. I've been to the Rumble, too!
Probably. He's all over. Drives a flat-black '29 Model A Tudor. Says 100 Percent Kulture, on the visor. He's my brother.
Here's the U bolt eliminator kit from Welder Series. I carry theri line of products. Good stuff! Click HERE
Jm, it looks to me like you just have your spring perches assembed wrong. Look at this picture from the Speedway catalog. BTW, that front end looks great. Don
Don you are the man! That's what I was going to do today; turn them around. That should work. I will post an update when I do. Thanks again.
Don, That worked! I still may have to notch the frame a bit to clear the spring. I will wait till I get the spacers in there and see where she sits. Front tires should be here soon.
Very cool. It's always fun when the wheels and tires come so you can see it as a roller. That is the time to sit back with a cold one and stare for a while. Don
I'm using the Speedway crossmember, spring as well the Mr Roadster ubolt kit. I had to make another 1/2" thick spacer in order for the clamp to hold the spring tight. I bought a longer spring center bolt and added all the spacers to the top of spring pack. I still have to relieve my frame a little for clearance. ====================================
Good spot, Don! I am so dyslexic, I have to do everything a few times to get it right, and still nothing ever looks quite right to me.
This is what I have now. Much better. Still have to work on the spacers. I spent some time wrenching on my buddy's model A 5 window so I didn't get much done today. Back at it tomorrow. Anything else you see wrong Don? Don't hold back.
Yes, Jim, I do see something else wrong............your car is not sitting in my garage. You are putting together a nice one. Don
Thanks Don. It's actually the wife's car not mine but guess who gets to work on it. I don't think it's going to be too HAMB friendly. Too much bling. Tunnel ram with dual quads and an aluminum dash. But it will have a Milners coupe feel to it (Body stance and fenders) Only in 2010 Camaro blue. It will still be a blast to drive with about 425HP. Got me wondering if she can handle all that power but she is a great driver. In those pictures the axle is about at ride height but the frame isn't.
This is kinda the style we are going for but with a tunnel ram and lakester pipes. This is what we are starting with.
