Hot Rods Dropped Axles for '34 Chevy

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by studearch, May 28, 2009.

  1. Help! I am searching for a dropped axle, 5"-6" to use under the de-arched, semi-elliptic, front springs on my '34 Chevy Standard. Either a tube or I-beam, with the spindles about 46"-47" apart, Chevy ot (preferably) Ford spindles. Butch's Rod Shop used to make one, but they're now long gone. It has to be relatively straight with the mounts on top, 23.5" center to center. Most T-bucket and Chevy pickup axles are too wide. Anyone have an idea or one sitting in their garage? Thanks...
