so i need some help on the front end! can i just c notch the front frame and move the i beam up. it looks to be that easy. can the rod from the steering box go up to the steering arm on the spindl or does it have to stay in line.

Should probably wait for more than 3 hours. I hear the 03 and newer Crown Vic front suspension works better.

There are lots of methods that will work satisfactorily. Each of them will also have drawbacks.

Mustang II will get the truck down, but it might not function as a truck any more.

A dropped axle and some lowering springs will also lower it. If you want to maintain your three quarter ton rating, the parts might be a little harder to find. If you are willing to go with half-ton stuff, there are lots of options that can be taken by themselves, or linked together.

The Crown Victoria setup mentioned is pretty slick, and lowers the truck considerably. Check with one of the (several) Ford F-series message boards; they have coverage of all this stuff.
