Well, all weekend Ive been taking the car out for short trips to try to work any of the bugs out. To my surprise, its been starting every time, and has been driving just fine with no problems. So, this morning I decided what the hell, I will drive it to work. On my way out the door, my wife asked me if I had my cell so I could call her if I broke down. Boy, no confidence there, huh? Oh well, I know shes just looking out for me in case something happens. I got to work a little early, so there is plenty of up close, front row parking, where the execs and higher-ups usually park. I figure, what the hell, and pull right in to a front row spot. A few minutes ago I looked out the window and there is my hack job 51 Chevy surrounded by SUVs and luxury cars. I had to laugh because my car looks SOOO out of place out there! But I bet I had more fun driving to work than any of those people did! Now, I just hope it starts when I go to leave this evening ..
[ QUOTE ] I got my cell on and the tow strap in my truck. Call if anything goes wrong. [/ QUOTE ] Ahhh, so far its been fine. Hey Aaron, its been a while, we will have to hook up sometime.
Thats cool. I drive Big Olds to work a couple of times a week depending on the weather. Sure makes driving to and from work a pleasure instead of a chore. Today I drove him and got an up front spot just like you. I have to laugh at all the "non-car" people giving me their opinions on the newly completed hood and the red rims with white walls. Gotta love'um though, they all mean well.
That's cool!!!!I love taking my ride to work, people love it so much they are afraid to park next to it, because they think they might hit it with there door.. And when I leave work there are a bunch of hand prints everywhere.. Wish I could drive it today though, it's gonna be 100 degrees with 50% humidity, kinda sticky.. As far as peoples opinions go ladycrusr ya could tell them, but they would never understand, that your part of something bigger than 24 inch rims and chameleon paint jobs...
I love it when the guys with those $40K Yukons and Escalades tell me they wish they had a car like mine. Hell, they could buy 4 or 5 for what they have in their SUV's. And the price doesn't go down after you drive it either! It'll be worth MORE in 5 years than I paid for it! But then, I went to war instead of College so what do I know! You can lead a horse to drink, but you can't make him water!
