Since I sold teh Merc, I have been lookin for a 33/34...Couldn't find one, so I bought a 39 coupe instead.

Well, as it always goes with me..my projects come in twos. This 34 popped up, so I hauled my cookies up to Tennessee to snag it.

She is kind of a cut and paste..But if you look close, there is damn near enough stuff to make a good 34 body.

Here is Darrell, the dude i bought it from and his young son in law, who is also a HAMBer. Damn glad I got to meet em. Both great guys.

Here is the inside of teh cowl. Spotless...

And, the most beautifull set of doors I have ever seen

Almost every thing that is rusty has a new Donnie Smart panel for it.

Got everything loaded and headed out of town and it started SNOWING on me. Yes, snow. I haven't seen snow in seven years. I had to haul my ass back to S Carolina with a quickness.

The shitty old truck never missed a beat the whole 700 miles. (and didn't lose any oil since I fixed teh pan gasket...)

This car is gonna take some love, but it is by far teh best car I have ever drug home. I'm used to making panels for teh bottom 8 inches of all my cars, but this one is a beauty.

Gotta finish the 39 first, so this one has to wait, but I'm pretty jacked. This car is exactly what I want.

    See ya, -Abone.

That last pic is the most unorthodox pic of truck, trailer, and car being trailered.

Cant wait to see it come together!

You are giving him 2 weeks for a vacation during that time aren't you Root?:D

It looks like a super project and with your track record it will be a stunner when you get it done.

That looks like rain to me, I don't see no white stuff on the ground...

Good luck with it, another one youll make something from well, something. This time you're ahead of the game compared to your other projects.

Very nice. I used to have a Ford PU similar to yours too - mine was a '64 w/ a 292 Y block. It was a good truck. Good luck w/ the new project!

Glad to see you made it home with it all. The snow got quite a bit heavier after you left.

You suck, every time I try to 'Drug somethin home' they wear off too quick and she gets away.
They never seem to be as sexy as that 5 window though.....

    Doc.

  21. Can you tell me the height of the Don Smart quarter panel patch panel? Looks taller than the pair I have and I need to fix more. Thanks

I hate you... Seriously though, I do... That is TOO nice of a project to wait around to build. You need to start on that, yesterday... I can't wait to see some progress on it. :)

    Great looking start!
What's the story on it being cut up into pieces? It looks as though someone cut it into small enough pieces to fit in a shed, etc?
It'll save and look good back in one piece.

    NICE.

Even with my head start I bet you'll have it on the road before my coupe.

  29. I have a 32 Ford 5 window back section exactly like that. No other parts. What is it worth? Or should I hang it on the front of my shop after it gets built?
