Ford didn't use self adjusters until 1961. With hydraulic brakes adjustment has little to do with brake pull that's why the went to them. Some thing has happened to the amount of friction in one brake usally oil or brake fluid leak. Adjustment if to tight can cause it to pull if to tight causing the brake to heat up causing a loss of friction. Brake fluid will go where it is the easiest and push all brakes even.

  6. 13 years ,,,, holy **** 2005 was day before yesterday.

These old cars can have lots of ill fated and undo***ented history.
I had one car here that was resurrected and the brakes pulled stupid. Lots of going over the basics and eventually I found the left wheel cylinder was bigger bore than the right.
Ya never know what someone else did or what you'll find.

Swapping the drums is an old trick... one I never let out of the bag too much. Always keep something to yourself. But it can make a dramatic difference or be used to rule something else out.

On the Mopar front drums (mostly 11"), those would develop hot spots when they got to the size limit. Sometimes they were audible when cutting a drum. Like cutting rocks. I tended to give those a co****r cut that other makes. They were less liable to glaze with a rougher surface finish.
