Does anyone know if the 1937-39 Lincoln Wide five Front drums are compatible with the 1937-39 Ford Wide five drums? I'm doing a brake conversion on my '36 Ford Pickup and need to know before I purchase any of the kits available. Also, will I need to change my spindles for the 37-39 drums?

Pretty sure a 36 spindle has a longer snout than a 37-41 Ford spindle. And the bolt pattern is different.

The people at Boling Brothers Early Iron said that the original 37-39 Wide-five drums will fit the 36 spindle! We'll soon see! Still don't know if Lincoln & Ford are compatible.

Found out from Boling Bros. that the Lincoln's are NOT compatible with the Ford's!

The snout on a 1936 spindle is unique to 1936, only.

It has the bearing spacing of the earlier cars and trucks, but with the later style back.
