Where can one find 60's style dry lake race team jackets like anthony hopkins wears in worlds fastest indian...?

it would be cool to get them blank, and put your own stuff on it. I could put Norton on mine like he did with the Indian, that would rock for my bike.

Boy,you don't ask for much do you?!!! When your at the store pick up a set of original kinnmonts for me while your at it . It is not so much a track jacket as a long sleeved lightweight sweater.

They are out there probably maybe 10 or so of them in the US that are originals.

Yeah if you are serious go to ebay. Check out the bidder snappygabs , ask him.
Or perhaps Larry at "Hellers" Cafe in seattle.Private appointment only. Bring about 2 to 3 grand .His ebay name is HCAFWC I'm pretty sure.

Go to Japan . Tons of American vintage stores over there they have a lot!
"The Real McCoys" of Japan makes them and they are exact duplicates. those are about $350 to $500.

A LOT of that killer stuff left America in the early 90's, Don't get me wrong there is still some stuff out there but usually in the hands of private collectors.
Go to a Vintage motorcycle meet or track race you might find one there from an unsuspecting owner for sale , if the Japanese who have been going to these since the late 80's haven't gotten them first.

Some of the leather jackets from that era are as much as an engine rebuild, 2 to 3 grand or more .
The matching L"E"vis from the era in that condition are about as much as well.

There is a whole subculture to the vintage clothing deal and it's just as serious as a heart attack or CheaterChris naked with a mexican wrestling mask.
