well, im finishing up some ford 94s i recently bought. I plan on buying the four barrel to two 2 barrel adaptor plates from eelco or vintage speed, etc and run4 dueces on a dual quad. but i am being told i need a dual quad 10 inches apart. does anyone know models will work? ive tried to do my homework on this but cant come up with anything. any help is very appreciated. brandon
302 Right? I'll ran into something similar trying to run Hellings air cleaners on a low profile dual quad setup. The Edlebrock and Offenhauser are to close together to work. I bought a Blue Thunder 2x4 and I'll measure when I get home tonight. Gus
don't know of any that will work for a 302. you might want to look into a efi gt-40 lower intake and build a new top for it. also, 94's are wider front to back than 97's. some 4 bbl to two 2 bbl adapters will only accept 97's.
I just checked my Blue Thunder intake and centers are 8-3/4" apart. I also checked a tunnel ram and It's 9" apart. I've been looking at hacking up a Offy 3x2 from a Y-block and a Offy 360 to try and make a 3x2 for a 302 or even a 351W. I'm waiting until I buy a Tig welder to try it. Gus
thanks for the footwork gus. thats cool i now know of three that problobly wont work. process of elimination i guess.
Offy 5880 1/2" offset 4 bbl adapters. Elongate the holes 1/16" and reduce thebolt heads to fit the counterbore, then elongate the holes in the Vintage Speed adapters 1/16" and scooch everything apart and you have it.
yeah i thought of that too about the size. but i called vintage speed and found out he designs his to fit 94s close.
