Here is a picture of mine. It a 34 but it's on 32 rails, 32 firewall 32 grill and a shortened 32 bed to 55". I chopped it 4" and I'm leaving the 34 body line, so people have something to talk about. I'm hoping it will be finish by next summer.

    I agree! Amazing truck:D

  7. Here's mine. I used a Mac Products shortened bed, which I think is about 10" shorter.

am i correct that fenders and running boards for trucks are different than coupes and sedans?? if so what is different about the fronts? the rears are obvious.

fronts are the same passenger and commercial for 32s.theres a long, confusing and circular thread about it on here.. running boards and rears different

  19. I'm not sure about the 32's that were built in or fexport to Australia but all the pickups.

But the running boards on my 32 pickup are the same as the passanger cars. HRP

I dont know how i got to print this pick up but i have 30 more and this is all i can get to show its face.
Story goes like this,I took my coupe upstate to a childhood friends house near lake placid newyork about 2 years ago.
His neighbor had stuff that his grandfather collected all over the area.Mostly t and some a stuff. The old guy liked his t touring that he would use for weddings and parades.
They owned a local saw mill in the town so barns and storage was never a problem. He gave me a tour of all the stuff the family collected over the years and in the back of one of the barns was this deuce pick up.
Mind you there were 3 different locations with 4-5 barns loaded with stuff. The only thing that caught my eye was this truck that the grandfather bought for the son(the dad of the guy showing me around)in 1966 when he was 13.Parked it and it hasnt moved since,Thats untill i got a call that the owner wanted to sell it.Price was struck and i told my friend to drag it out and hold it for me.Sent the check yesterday and havent been able to sleep since.
Ill post more pictures as soon as i can figure out what i did,This little box is magic i wish i could figure how it works.

LOVE IT. thats along the lines of what i think i might do. perhaps with a hood though. a top at least. i even have a "spare" Nailhead in the garage. gonna have to find a set of fenders though.

Gary, that is a great find. i can't imagine the anticipation and anxiety you must be feeling... if you decide to ditch those fenders let me know, alright. ;)

A little slow on the reply to short beds. Here is a picture of the bed on mine and you can see the plat that was used to finish off the rear. It is just past the end of the frame.

damn they look so right with fenders!
Ive decided to leave mine off as the chance of finding steel rears here is close to zero..
and i went ahead and moved my front crossmember forward an inch..so the fenders dont look right. although ive seen a few with front wheels too forward in the fender and they dont look too bad.
I guess Ill get the whole body mounted and then decide.
This thread is great , i love getting ideas off here!

Here's my 32' Pickup. Chopped 3", handbuilt frame, 425 cadillac.

The only thing that bothers me is that the grill shell is a 34'. (one I had around the shop). Everything else is 32'. I am going to replace the 34' grill with a 32' once I can find one :) They are tricky to find.
