Hi everybody! My name is Jan and I'm 36 year old, 5' 10' (I know, that's "censored" old) Swede living in Glasgow, Scotland. I have a huge interest in the real and only style of Hot Rods and Customs, and I try to find all the books and stuff to build my very own 32 Coupe. So if anyone of you could recommend books etc, I'd very grateful. I already subscribe Rod And Custom, that's always a start, right? So far I only know that I want to it powered by a 331 Chrysler Hemi and all that comes with it. Or maybe even a slightly newer 392 Hemi. What do you think? Wouldn't mind to put together a 49-51 Mercury custom either with Flathead, flamethrowers etc, etc. Would suicide doors look good you think? Anyhow, I've always been into "old" stuff like cars, motorcycles, 50's and early 60's Rock and Roll and of course Rockabilly, very seldom listen to anything else. Eddie Cochran and Buddy Holly are my Kings. There's a few time that I've accused of being born too late, and I guess we all know who to blame, right? Would put alot more in here, but I don't want bore you to death. Any questions feel free to ask. Have a nice folks and take care! Welcome Jan. You did the right thing by starting here. There are a lot of good people, willing to help the 'younger' guys,on a project. most will give stuff free to a dedicated 'greasy gearhead' good luck. Sparky
Fuck it does rock! I love Glasgow. Haven't been out in almost a year. Do you know Ben Nevins pub? One day I'm gonna come there and marry the blonde barmaid who helps me choose my wiskey! How is the car culture there? Must be tough. Do me a favor and throw a***** to one of the dirty girls at Cinderella's for me!
