Just thumbing through my copy of The MILLER Dynasty and spotted a photo of a 1932 Ford B motor with a cast exhaust manifold. It has HALLOCK cast in it and the text mentions it was made by Duke Hallock, is this the same guy that made the V's windsheilds?

Hey Kid, yes, the exhaust manifolds were made by the same Hallock as the V windshields. Some companies were repopping the manifolds a few years ago and they were available through the major model a parts houses. Not sure about availability now, I havent seen them in a while. the new ones however don't have Hallock cast in them.

And only half a dozen Hallock windshields were originally cast by Duke Hallock, which means that all 50 of 6 the originals are still around:rolleyes:.

  8. Duke was a mechanical genius. He worked for AirResearch and helped develop intercoolers for aircraft and developed turbos for automotive use he ran a turbo at the lakes in '39. Duke also designed the fuel injection system on the Giovanine/Spurgin roadster.
