dulling existing paint

20 year old lacquer paint? Orange peel ? Anyway, I'm glad you listened to reason here, looks like a really nice car. Have fun with it.

 

Well I've had several black cars and always felt that with black there is no "middle". Black has to look either perfect or raw(dull). And unless the body is super straight black just won't cut it in gloss. Also I get over protective of a "perfect" black paint job and that wasn't what I wanted in this car. So I listen to some opinions and changed my way of thinking - Thanks to all.
