Ok when I put my gl*** in, should I have the lock strip in the rubber molding or does the lock strip go in after the gl*** and rubber are seated in the car? Jdee
Yeah it looks that way to me also, but its hard to keep the rubber on the gl*** at first. it just falls off so easy and won't hold at all on the corners. I got some tight corners. I was going to lock it on the gl*** first than hold it in place and do the string thing. Jdee
Hi, Jdee! Long time..... Try using masking tape to keep the rubber on the gl*** until it's installed. But sometimes it's a wrestling match no matter what you do! Lock strip does just that...locks it in after everything's in place.
Put the rubber in the body then put the gl*** into the rubber then lace the lockstrip closed......OLDBEET
Thanks a bunch guys, I'll give it another go... Mark http://www.kopperkart.com/ is looking great. can't wait for more pics... Thanks Jdee
Yep my novice knowledge level wiht this stuff agrees with above, thats the way Ive done it (read my friend has) Now Im just getting to the level where Im competent enough to help! Rubber goes in the channel, cut to fit, then half at a time gl*** (referencing V windshield on a Merc or Ford) then after that wrestling match with 895 trips over to the gl*** grinder, the lock strip goes in then. Good luck!
