dumb lakes pipe ?

    i got a set of lakes from swapmeet. had no hangers. i what to hook them up. what do i need to mount them? do i need anything speacial? i want to make them funtional. orderd my split man yesterday.
    going on 1951 chevy more door.

    I bought my lakes pipes from nightprowlers, they sell the hangers you are looking for. Mine were also functional and they sounded great on the stock 6 motor.

    I welded straps on the back side of mine them bolted them on. They look like nothing is holding them to the car. Speedway sells clamps to hold them.

    You can find clamps that will work at any auto parts store or muffler shop

    You can buy the clamps or weld on a brack of your own to the back. I preffer that method for a smoother look

    I made my own..and was able to tuck them a bit under the rockers, just in case, my two girls wear skirts alot.

    my lakes are functional, you might be able to make out the one bracket near the rear of the pipe
    they are welded onto the back of the pipe and painted black to blend in

    mine are functional i welded to bolts to back of each pipe cover these small pin holes that where on the pipe i bolted a piece of 3/8 flat bar to the pipe and welded them to the rocker
