Seems to me everyone here is running a nailhead in an A model, unless they're runnin a flatty. I don't have a problem with it. Puttin a nailhead in an A myself. Got some flatties too. I might go SBC to be different.

Don't care where they get there money, just curious as to how they set it up. Monthly, yearly, amount of space used? There are lots of clubs, so the question is valid in my warped little mind.
As far as the pants go, start a new trend.

    O.K. Here's one:

If a car has bobbed rear fenders and motorcycle front fenders is it considered a hi-boy?

No, a high boy is simply a car sitting on top of it's frame, i.e not chanelled.

PS, it could be a high boy if built to the above configuration, fenders have nothing to do with it.

I have a stupid newbie question. I am on the verge of completing my '40 Chrysler and I'm a bit afraid to post pictures of it when it's done because it has an outside sunvisor on it and I sense some hostilities against guys running sunvisors on this board. The car is mostly stock, lowered, with wide whites and fender skirts that cover the whole back wheel. Seems like a visor would be a natural, and I love the way it looks. No ****ing way would I take it off, but I don't want to post pics and have everyone shoot it down. What's the deal, people? Honestly, do people have a problem with visors, or is there some old inside joke that I missed?

It's very difficult to connect your post with your signature.

  13. Sunvisors are considered Cholo/Mexi/Lowrider/whatever by many of the board's participants.

I dig Bombs and traditional lows, so I see nothing wrong w/ visors, skirts, or *gulp* door handles...provided they fit the styling of the car. Cole's chopped Chevy would look pretty gay w/ a visor, but your car may not due to its styling (skirts, etc.)

    Post a pic.

Just take a hole saw and put some speed holes in the visor. Then it's cool. While you're at it, you may want to swiss cheese the door panels, roof, fender skirts, and hood.

Or you could leave it how it is and not worry about the opinions of a bunch of nerds who sit at their computer and type messages about hot rods.

Mutt, you're right, my sig doesn't match my post, I don't take my signature very seriously, just thought it was a couple of funny phrases. Good point, though.

Tony Bones, thanks for the info. I really didn't know. It's a 4 door with handles and all it's chrome so it certainly would fit in under the "bomb" category, and that is just fine with me. No 13" by 10" wide gold wire wheels, but the lowrider crowd would probably still like it. I'll post pics with my head held high as soon as I get it put back together (hopefully a couple weeks) and at least now I know what's up.

~Why is it when you talk to a chevy guy, they Shyt on Fords, but if you look under thier ride, it has Ford 9" rear and Mustang II front suspension?

    No-it's a lowrider if I'm driving it, evidently...:D

    stupid question #1:
Why is it called a nailhead?
    stupid question #2:
Why can't I get more than 230 hp out of a 235 i6 but a f@ckin' VTEC 4 banger can make 300hp stock? Let's not even get into the whole weight to horsepower ratio thing...
    stupid question #3:
Why and when did you start your car club? I'm one of two people I hang out with that actually has a running car and the only person in my circle of friends that has a traditional kustom. Granted, I've met people here but most of them are already members of a club, but the way I understood it, you were friends first.
    stupid question #4:
Why not nitro? They ran it back in the 60's and once again, 4 bangers run full on wet systems all the time.

1.what cause a person to itch?

2.how many people are in a "shit load of people"?

3.how many people does it take to make a gang?

4.why does the guy at Pepboys want to know the year, make and engine size, when all you want is 2' of fuel line hose.

thanks...and remember VOTE FOR PEDRO! :D

  25. OK...

    Newbie Stupid Questions

    1. Is it wrong to drop a modern Nissan FI DOHC 4-banger in a Track-T, a Lakes Mod, or a Belly Tank?

    2. is it possible to make a straight axle car [like a the above mentioned] handle worth a damn?

    3. Can you make a street legal belly tank?

    4. How do you register an old car with no title?

    5. Who put the Bop in the "Bop-Shoo-Bop"?

  26. Fuel Injection, computer controlled timing, Variable Camshaft profiles that change in response to RPM [VTEC, VVi, etc], better air flow thru the engines, 4 valves per cylinder and in the case of a Honda, they have no torque until about 5k RPM and redline up aroud 7500... that I-6 you got can pull stumps... but you can't wind it up that high ;)

Simple.. Nitrous is a crutch for power... you are a fast bastard until your bottle runs out, then you are a chump...

    That help?
