Ok so here's the deal.....I need to stamp this new frame with a vin from a model A frame ( I got the VIN section from a guy that scrapped the frame)

I just want to make sure I stamp the correct location on my coupe so when it gets inspected there are no odd questions.

  2. model A's had the numberstamped in two places , one on the engine , the other of the drivers side of the frame right behind the first body mount hole...so it is under the body

About where the clutch pedal is right next to it on the frame.

ok...another dumb question, do I have to remove my floor then, for the VIN inspection??

If its on the top of the rail, it would be right under the floor or the body so how would an inspector see it?

Sorry....I've not had to do this before, and just want my ass covered so I can register this thing.

top of the frame rail , outer edge, just forward of the cowl mount plate that comes off the rail. Dont have my cowl on right now, so dont know the angle of view.
