Projects Dumb question re: gas line

Guys.. Should there be an adapter between the flared line and carb inlet?

 

Yes or you can buy one of the banjo bolt line fittings.

that's 1/8" pipe thread, won't quite fit!

if that is 3/8"steel line , the part # you need is Edelbrock 8090
