this is dumb. sorry to waste anyones time with ANOTHER DUMB QUESTION. i know i should know this, but i really dont know. where to get a simple steel wheel. i want to get a black wheel w/ a beauty ring and spyder caps....i have 5 x 4 3/4 Gm what to do?? i need to measure because i think i need a certain off set?? do i have em built?? Thank you, Chris
figure out how wide they could be, see if there's some limit to how much offset they could have either way, and decide what you want the center of it to look like. Then look at pictures of wheels...for starters, the original wheels on original older Chevys. The 4-3/4" bolt pattern was used on Chevy cars starting in 49, on full size cars thru 70, and midsize cars thru the late 80s. And on S10 pickups and camaros and whatnot. 14s were used on many/most cars from 57 on. The 49-53 wheels look nice, not sure how the spider cap thing works on them? if there's a stocker that will work, use that. If not, have them built.
