Just picked up a free set of dummy spots but they did not include any of the mounting brackets or hardware. Anyone know how to mount the spots and make them look good, or is there a company that makes just mounting kits?
Is this a trick question? I believe that most dummy spots are held on by two screws. Can we submit this post for TECH WEEK?
I've always said dummy spots are for dummys, but if you get the right stuff to mount them PLEASE mount them in a fashion that would look like they were for real use. like dont mount them way out on the fuckin fender so it looks like you would have to reach under the car to turn the would be handle, instead of on the dash.
yeah what prime mover said I especially like the ones mounted so it looks like youd have to reah up through rough rats nest of wires under the dash to operate.
Don't worry these will be mounted on the A pillar. Would run functional spots, but can't find any decent looking, most look too modern. I will look to see what brand they are.
i have some extra brackets(the part that mounts to the a pillar), that the spotlight twist into,,maybe if you can post a pic of what YOU have right now then we can figure out what you need..
OK... PM me your address. I have two brackets for the pillar for a pair of CAL CUSTOM dummy spots. They're NOS... for real. I got two pair with some DUMMYS new in the box. They're yours if you can use em. Let me know. Fuck the DUMMY haters... Tuck
