Any ideas on installing a dummy vinyl top insert over a metal top that has been installed in a Model A, or other soft top coupe. I have a metal insert installed but I would like to have the original appearance of the top insert.
Anyone done this? Pictures of finished top.

Tape it off and paint it!

  4. After paying a lot of money (to me) a number of years ago to have a poorly done roof fill redone on my 32 C-Dan and being talked into filling the cowl vent, I started liking the original unfilled style roof (probably the traditional bug biting me). I was going to go the Juliano route but got an offer for the car I couldn't refuse. Ended up having withdrawals and bought another very similar but better car. Guess what, it has the "traditional" roof and I got my cowl vent back.
