Hi all, I'm here partly because of the beautiful site, partly for the interesting people, and partly for the wonderful stories and the type of knowledge that can only come from having been there. Knowing next to nothing about cars themselves, I grew up the son of a car loving and constantly tinkering father. He was an illustrator for a few hot rod magazines in the early 60's in the southern California area, and his favorite restoration was his 1928 Ford truck, which he painted and illustrated as the cover and inside featured build for Custom Rod one issue. I'm a second generation illustrator who absolutely loves the forms and lines of vintage cars and airplanes. While I can't look at a bolt without stripping it, I have a way with chrome and paint when it comes to putting it on a blank sheet of paper or digital screen. I'm known for my digital art, having written a book and being published in a load of places, which used to be a novel thing but now isn't nearly as impressive to me as it seems to be to others. I don't have a favorite car, don't drive anything interesting, think the P51 Mustang and most cars of the same era are about the most gorgeous man made machines possible, and am looking forward to reading a lot of interesting posts while posting very little as there just isn't much I can offer to the adult dialog other than questions.
