Duz music make a diff to you?

  1. X2...gotta have some blues!! Most people write the blues off their lists. To them, I suggest a serving of Howlin Wolf's "Smokestack Lightning" at full volume. NOTHING will rock your soul harder!

...and carfarmer, is that a Silvertone or Value Leader in your avatar? A guy down the road wanted $500 for a VL and it had a broken neck. Can't say I wasn't tempted.

  2. I do the same, radio on 24-7. If I came into my shop without the music on, I'd feel bad that all my stuff just sat there without any music. Funny as my Dad and my Grandfather did this also.

Way too technical, that is why AM radio works so well for me. :)

80's and 90's rap, it's good ****... and some of the newer rap that isn't retarded is cool too.. I like Hank, Waylon, Willy, and Johny just as much as Snoop, Pac, Biggie, and Dre, or Hendrix, Skynard, ZZ Top, and Santana.. It's all good ****.. But I can't bring myself to listen to the radio (except for Tod n' Tyler in the morning)..

After the morning talk show the 8 track adaptor comes out the c***ete with a cord goes in it, and then the iPod gets hooked up..

I have 2 Hammond organs in the garage and 2 in the house. When I take a break from workin on my stuff I stop for a little Booker T (Green Onions) or a little blues and southern gospel. I'm not very good but I keep trying and I'm learning. I always have a radio on music cuz I cant stand the political rant shows... from either side.

I have music on as often as I can - and pandora.com is pretty good if you don't feel like having pick and choose, and want to hear some things you may not have heard...

Oh yeah. when I'm working on stuff I find that extremely hard loud metal, 50s era rock n' roll and doo wop, and really sad music make me just work. I don't know why, I just totally phase out of the surrounding world and work. When I cruise its the same thing, but more varied on music types. And road trips are the same way, I've driven 600 miles and felt like I barely drove at all because I had good music with me. Soundtracks to life.
